Job summary

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of facilities management experience in a large or multi-unit venue.
  • Knowledge of electrical, maintenance and repair practices.
  • Experience with building systems: CRAC/Chiller, Fire protection, Mechanical & Electrical, BMS.
  • Strong vendor management and budget/project management experience.
  • Proficient with MS Office and database systems.
  • Excellent communication in English and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and work overtime when needed.

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS: The Facilities Manager will be responsibility for delivery of facility services, project management, budget, contractors, and staff management as required. This person will be the

Main contact for all on-site vendor inventory management programs and daily building repairs. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for implementing building procedures and performance measures and ensuring facility security. The position requires proactive management and engagement with senior staff and stakeholders to ensure facilities and property management services do not impact operations and safety. This person will be responsible for keeping TAC's buildings in a safe and clean condition through continual general maintenance, good housekeeping, routine inspections and proper implementation of all building and safety codes.

MAJOR DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • Maintains the safety culture that people matter and that all accidents can be prevented.
  • Utilizes CMMS system to create work orders and filter through work request.
  • Responsible for maintaining and repairing the facility and utility related equipment.
  • May help establish standards and guidelines for supplier evaluation and may conduct periodic vendor reviews.
  • Inspect completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and OEM standards.
  • Oversee a team of contractors to deliver a full range of facilities and service needs.
  • Manage vendor relations by monitoring performance of their assigned work.
  • Oversee the repair or replacement of building needs.
  • Seek opportunities to constantly reduce costs and improve operational efficiencies and standards.
  • Initiate and conduct projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.
  • Manage and coordinate site inspections and assessments to ensure all building procedures and performance measures are maintained at all times.
  • Coordinates emergency repairs when needed.
  • Ensure regular preventive maintenance inspections and emergency repairs of HVAC, rooftop equipment, and heating/ac units are completed.
  • Achieve Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreement targets.
  • Ensures city, county, state, and federal regulations relating to the maintenance department are met at all times.
EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Associates Degree preferred, at a minimum, high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of experience working in facilities management for a large or multi-unit venue required.
  • Knowledge of standard practices in electrical, maintenance and repair.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of fundamental technical aspects of property maintenance (Computer Room Air-Conditioning, Chiller system, Fire Protection system, Mechanical & Electrical system, BMS system).
  • Relevant experience in managing multiple activities (budget, project, facilities).
  • Solid knowledge of vendor management for specialized services.
  • Familiarity with and understanding of various building systems.
  • Must be familiar with computer systems including MS Office and database systems.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly (written and verbally) in English.
  • Able to work and communicate effectively with a cross functional team.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and critical thinking skills.
  • Maintain a neat, orderly and safe work area.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 55 lbs.
  • Excellent attendance: ability to work overtime, weekends and off shifts when needed.
