Purpose Of Job

This position is responsible for ensuring optimal building maintenance, environmental and safety regulation compliance, grounds maintenance, and overall facility image standards across all company properties. The Facilities Manager will oversee daily maintenance, serve as a communication link with senior management regarding facilities issues, manage in-house maintenance staff and outsourced service providers, including janitorial services, and directly supervise approximately 3 reports.

Job Duties
  1. Maintain Standards of Excellence for Building Appearance and Functionality
  • Schedule and follow up on maintenance projects to ensure quality work.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of buildings.
  • Oversee property appearance, equipment, and systems for performance, efficiency, and safety.
  • Manage preventative maintenance programs.
  • Identify, research, and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
  • Coordinate repairs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
  • Communicate maintenance and repair needs to management and staff.
  • Manage staff schedules, procurement, and project coordination.
  • Maintain current building drawings and records.
  • Supervise mail delivery operations.
  • Provide hands-on assistance when necessary.
  • Ensure Properties are Operated and Maintained 24/7/365 in a Safe and Secure Manner
    • Participate in safety and emergency training.
    • Manage subcontractors safely and cost-effectively.
    • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
    • Act as a key member of the Disaster Coordination Team.
  • Manage and Monitor Department Budget
    • Review expenditures and prepare project estimates.
    • Procure materials and equipment as needed.
  • Assist in Strategic Planning
    • Manage maintenance and renovation projects.
    • Inspect systems for efficiency and recommend improvements.
    • Ensure compliance with records retention policies.
  • Management & People Development
    • Build and develop team talent.
    • Conduct performance reviews.
    • Ensure training requirements are met.
  • General Duties
    • Maintain regular attendance.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • Travel as needed.
  • Quality & Continuous Improvement
    • Commit to quality and customer service.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
    • Engage in ongoing training and development.
