Qualifications

Job description

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Facilities Department, ensuring all building systems, equipment, and facilities operate safely and efficiently.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs, work order processes, and repair activities to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Inspect buildings, equipment, and operational areas to identify maintenance needs and ensure facilities remain in excellent condition.
  • Coordinate the cleanliness, upkeep, maintenance, and repair of all assigned facilities, grounds, and infrastructure.
  • Monitor utility consumption and recommend cost-saving and energy-efficiency initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, environmental standards, company policies, and operating procedures.
  • Maintain facility emergency response procedures and ensure emergency equipment remains operational and properly maintained.
  • Coordinate facility improvement projects, renovations, equipment installations, and construction activities.
  • Assist in planning, budgeting, scheduling, and executing departmental projects and capital improvements.
  • Solicit vendor proposals, review project bids, and coordinate contractor activities.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure work is completed on schedule, within budget, and according to established specifications.
  • Review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project documents.
  • Support casino floor modifications and departmental changes requiring facility enhancements or infrastructure updates.
  • Supervise Facilities Supervisors, technicians, and support staff.
  • Schedule, assign, and monitor work activities to ensure efficient department operations.
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members and supervisors.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, corrective action, and employee development initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and service excellence.
  • Develop supervisors' leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, and operational effectiveness.
  • Assist with departmental budgeting, forecasting, and expense control.
  • Manage inventory levels, purchasing activities, and vendor relationships.
  • Maintain maintenance records, project documentation, equipment logs, and departmental reports.
  • Prepare reports, business correspondence, policies, procedures, and operational documentation as required.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements, cost savings, and increased efficiency.
  • Promote and uphold company service standards throughout the department.
  • Ensure facility-related concerns impacting guests or team members are addressed promptly and professionally.
  • Support service recovery efforts and ensure team members are empowered to resolve issues effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support operational needs and property initiatives.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, gas, and building systems.
  • Strong understanding of preventative maintenance and facility management practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical documents, specifications, and contracts.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, purchasing, inventory control, and vendor management.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance management software systems.

Licenses & Certifications

  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required gaming licenses and certifications.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, climb, and balance.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions.
  • Ability to work around moving mechanical equipment, chemicals, cleaning products, paints, adhesives, and other maintenance-related materials.
  • Ability to work in high-noise environments and areas with exposure to secondary smoke.
  • Ability to respond effectively to emergencies and operational situations.
