Kinsley Power Systems is seeking a Design and Construction Superintendent to lead strategic planning, management, and execution of Casino and Hotel capital projects. The role collaborates with the Design and Construction Director and hotel/casino staff to drive capital improvements and ensure schedules and deliverables meet business needs.

The candidate will coordinate in-house teams and subcontractors, track orders, and coordinate with Purchasing to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

  • Construction blueprint reading required.
  • Hospitality Project Supervision & Management experience preferred.
  • Commercial construction experience preferred.
  • Construction management or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous casino/hotel industry experience preferred.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Strong business acumen with an ability to communicate effectively with all departments within an organization.
  • Must excel at strategic thinking, project planning, project management and coaching.

Job description

The Design and Construction Superintendent will be responsible for the strategic planning, management, implementation of ongoing Casino and Hotel capital projects. This position will report to the Design and Construction Director and work closely with the hotel and casino staff to facilitate ongoing capital improvement projects.

Job Focus:

Focus is on, but not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for the strategic planning, management, implementation of ongoing Casino and Hotel capital projects.
  • Report to the Design and Construction Director and work closely with the hotel and casino staff to facilitate ongoing capital improvement projects.
  • Scheduling for both in-house employees and subcontractors.
  • Tracking supply orders.
  • Working closely with the Purchasing department to maintain timely delivery to complete project
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Project.Experience with Primavera P6 is a plus
  • Must be Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.

EDUCATION

HS Diploma/GED required. Minimum 5 years experience in project supervision/management

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Must possess interpersonal skills to deal effectively with business contacts and employees at all levels of the company. Must possess a strong attention to detail and presentation skills. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, staff, customers, and general public.

Results oriented, hands‑on professional with the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees. Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and to create and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions through decisive judgment. Ability to interpret and follow through on a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Other Qualifications

Must be a minimum of 21 years of age. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products: Project, Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher and Outlook. Experience in Primavera P6, PlanGrid and/or Procore a plus.
