Role Description

The Facilities Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Baltimore, MD, responsible for overseeing the maintenance, safety, and efficient operation of Broadmead's buildings and grounds. This role manages day-to-day facilities activities, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems. The Facilities Manager coordinates and supervises facilities staff and external contractors, ensuring work is completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and safety standards. The role involves planning and prioritizing work orders, managing inventory and equipment, and contributing to capital improvement and renovation projects. The Facilities Manager collaborates closely with leadership and other departments to support a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for residents, visitors, and employees.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in facilities management, building operations, or maintenance leadership within a residential, healthcare, or similar environment.
• Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety), preventive maintenance practices, and basic construction or repair methods.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to prioritize work orders, coordinate multiple vendors, and manage budgets and schedules.
• Supervisory experience with the ability to lead, coach, and support a diverse facilities and maintenance team.
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory, safety, and compliance requirements (e.g., OSHA, local building codes, fire and life safety standards).
• Proficiency with maintenance management software, basic office applications, and documentation of work orders, inspections, and incident reports.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with residents, staff, and external partners in a respectful, service-oriented manner.
