Job summary

The City of Mansfield seeks an Executive Director of Public Works to provide strategic leadership for water utilities, streets, and environmental services while guiding capital investment and maintenance planning.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, public administration, business administration, environmental science, or related field.
• Experience: 12+ years in public works or utilities with 7+ years in leadership and supervising staff.
• Licenses: TX PE license, TX Class A Water Operator, TX Wastewater Collection III License.

Responsibilities

• Set long-range infrastructure strategies and capital investment plans.
• Lead planning, prioritization, and execution of capital improvement programs.
• Oversee maintenance and operation of streets, drainage, water production/treatment, and wastewater systems.
• Administer operating and capital budgets and liaise with regional partners.
