Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Worker

Summary Description
The Pine School is seeking an experienced maintenance worker to join our dedicated maintenance team supporting our K-12 School’s mission. The position requires a positive attitude and is full-time, year-round, with a comprehensive benefits package. The role is based on our beautiful 174-acre campus in Hobe Sound.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage work orders through the school’s online management program, including coordination and closure (knowledge of espace is a plus).
- Perform plumbing, lighting, and minor electrical repairs.
- Handle drywall repairs and light carpentry tasks.
- Set up and breakdown for events.
- Conduct cleaning, janitorial duties, and trash removal.
- Inspect doors, locks, and ceiling tiles throughout the campus regularly.
- Assist with front guard gate coverage using the Visitor Management program (SchoolPass knowledge is a plus).
- Support projects and deep cleaning during school and summer breaks.
- Participate in safety training, follow safety policies, and utilize safety equipment. Identify and mitigate hazards and recommend safety improvements.
- A CDL is a plus or willingness to obtain one.
- Perform other duties that support the school’s mission and values.

- Basic knowledge of minor plumbing, electrical, and door hardware maintenance.

- Identify and communicate issues to management.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Attend required training sessions.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Use computer-based work order systems via desktop and handheld devices.
- Climb ladders, work from lifts, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Work safely in all weather conditions and environments.
Technical Skills
- Basic math skills.
- General mechanical aptitude.
Hours and Compensation
- 40 hours/week, Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm.
- Hourly pay based on experience.
- Daily school lunch provided on school days.
