Job summary

North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) seeks a Maintenance Worker-Facility Maintenance to support labor across NTMWD systems. The role covers general facility upkeep, repairs, and preventative work on buildings, pipes, HVAC, and grounds.

Under supervision, you will fabricate and repair components, manage coatings and painting, inspect irrigation and pest-related issues, and assist with routine maintenance on pump stations. A valid Texas driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Texas Structural Pesticide Applicators License preferred.
• Texas Herbicide Applicators License preferred.
• Requires a valid Texas Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Responds to work orders and projects as directed by the Facility Maintenance Crewleader.
• Assists in maintaining corporate buildings and grounds in top condition.
• Performs weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and annual preventive maintenance, repair, and installation (roofing, plumbing, HVAC, etc).
• Performs prep and painting of protective coatings on NTMWD pipelines and appurtenances.
• Identifies and troubleshoots problems with irrigation systems and makes repairs as necessary.
• Participates in regular cleanings of pump stations and outer facilities to remove debris and treat for insects.
• Overtime as needed to prevent disruption of District activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
