Job summary

Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and upkeep of all UGMTC buildings and systems. This role works with the facilities team to complete work orders and support a safe, healthy environment for residents and staff.

The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, with a wage range of $21.00–$25.00 per hour. A high school diploma or GED and 5–8 years of facilities experience are preferred; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• 5-8 years of experience in facilities or construction maintenance.
• Valid Driver’s license and excellent driving record.
• Knowledge of heating/cooling, ventilation, plumbing, electrical and water treatment systems.
• Familiar with and able to use hand and power tools, as needed.
• Ability to read, understand and follow safety procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Provides general repair and maintenance of UGMTC buildings, facilities, and equipment under supervision.
• Performs preventative maintenance on a routine schedule.
• Collaborates with the maintenance team to complete work orders timely and efficiently.
• Documents facility repair and maintenance requirements and keeps records.
• Suggests improvements to maintenance processes and safety practices.
• Maintains safety and environmental practices; provides excellent customer service to staff and clients.
