Discovery Senior Living is seeking a Facilities Operations Assistant for Discovery Village at Deerwood, an assisted living and memory care community in Jacksonville, FL. The role focuses on maintaining a safe, welcoming environment and supporting day-to-day operations to serve residents and families.

You will perform routine maintenance, respond to service requests, assist with HVAC and general repairs, and participate in preventive tasks to keep the community running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required and basic maintenance experience.
• Minimum of one year in maintenance or facilities preferred.
• Knowledge of building systems including plumbing and electrical is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and light housekeeping throughout the community.
• Process service requests for repairs in apartments, common areas, equipment, and vehicles.
• Assist with HVAC, plumbing, electrical repairs, painting, and carpentry as needed.
• Support preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend asset life.
• Respond to emergencies and on-call requests outside scheduled hours.
