Job summary

Discovery Senior Living in Naples, FL is seeking a Facilities Operations Assistant to support day-to-day maintenance, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and well-functioning community for residents and team members.

You will perform routine maintenance, address service requests, assist with HVAC and general repairs, and uphold safety standards while collaborating with the team. This is a full-time on-site role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of one year of maintenance or facilities experience.
• Ability to read and understand basic building plans and safety standards.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards, fire prevention, and life safety regulations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying temperatures.
• Ability to respond to emergencies outside normal hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and light housekeeping throughout the community.
• Complete service requests for repairs to apartments, common areas, equipment, and vehicles.
• Perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry.
• Assist with HVAC systems as assigned.
• Maintain flooring and prepare 'make-ready' apartments for new residents.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend asset life.
• Respond to maintenance-related emergencies and on-call requests.
• Follow safety standards and life safety regulations.
• Communicate status and priorities with leadership.
