Job summary

HME Care is hiring a Property Maintenance Technician to support a preventative maintenance program and daily operations. The role reports to the Executive Director and involves maintaining equipment, performing routine repairs, and ensuring safety compliance with state licensure requirements.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of facility maintenance experience, high school or GED, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must have completed high school or equivalent GED.
• Must submit to a TB test in accordance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain facility equipment and systems.
• Complete preventive maintenance inspections per South Dakota checklist.
• Coordinate projects and work orders to ensure efficient operations.
• Organize and transport residents to events and appointments.
• Maintain maintenance logs per licensure requirements.
• Respond to emergencies and conduct safety drills as needed.
