Job summary

Walmart in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance to perform routine preventive maintenance, inspect and repair facilities, document maintenance activities, and manage work orders while coordinating with contractors.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical certification and 2 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Option 2: 4 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
• No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities, equipment, and fixtures following established schedules.
• Inspect, clean, and repair facilities and equipment, documenting wear, repair needs, and replacement recommendations.
• Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractor activities, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Operate and maintain heavy machinery and company vehicles safely, conducting pre- and post-operation inspections.
• Order parts, track purchases, submit warranty claims, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Collaborate with teams to implement process improvements and support business priorities.
