Job summary

Walmart’s Facility Services General Maintenance Technician performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities and equipment. The role involves inspecting, repairing, and documenting maintenance activities while managing work orders and coordinating with contractors.

You will operate heavy machinery and company vehicles, adhere to OSHA/EPA standards, and contribute to continuous improvement by identifying repair needs and ensuring regulatory

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical certification and 2 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Option 2: 4 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities, equipment, and fixtures.
• Inspect, clean, and repair equipment while documenting wear and recommending repairs or replacements.
• Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractor activities for quality and safety compliance.
• Operate and maintain heavy machinery and company vehicles per safety and regulatory requirements.
• Order parts, track inventory, and process maintenance invoices accurately.
