Job summary

Walmart is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs across facilities and equipment. You will inspect, clean, and repair systems, manage work orders, and coordinate with contractors to ensure timely, safe, and compliant completion of tasks.

The role requires adherence to OSHA/EPA regulations, strong documentation, and the ability to identify and report deficiencies. A valid driver’s license and experience with heavy machinery are preferred for this position

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical certification and 2 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Option 2: 4 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
• No serious traffic violations, as defined by the FMCSR, while operating a CMV in the last three (3) years.
• Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical trade program.
• Experience using Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• License in related trade in city and/or state where job is located.
• Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety and proper function of facilities and equipment.
• Inspects, cleans, and repairs facilities, equipment, or fixtures.
• Manages work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractors.
• Orders parts and replacement equipment and tracks orders.
• Records purchases and usage; submits warranty claims.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines.
• Ensures contractors follow Walmart quality standards, safety requirements, and meet contract requirements.
