Job summary

Goodwill of North Georgia seeks a Maintenance Specialist to care for our stores and delivery centers. You will perform repairs to plumbing, electrical systems, and structural elements, ensure compliance with codes, and maintain site aesthetics including doors, windows, and walls.

Responsibilities include logging repairs, conducting safety inspections, and communicating costs to the FS Maintenance Manager. Candidates need a High School Diploma or vocational training and 2 years' facility

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or vocational training in building maintenance.
• Two years of facility maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/schematics.
• Understanding of basic electrical systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends, flexible hours.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Must comply with Federal vaccine mandate per contract site with/without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Stores, Career Centers, ADC, SSC and GNG/GING site appearance per policy.
• Ensure sites meet current codes; obtain permits as required.
• Repair and maintain plumbing, electrical and building structure to code.
• Service light fixtures and ballast as needed.
• Keep repair logs and tickets up to date and closed.
• Perform site safety inspections and communicate costs to supervisor.
• Maintain walls, doors, windows, paint selection and prep.
