Job summary

Goodwill of North Georgia is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to upkeep our stores and distribution centers. You will handle repairs, preventive maintenance, and ensure facilities meet safety and code standards.

The role requires basic electrical knowledge, ability to read blueprints, and flexible hours including nights and weekends. You will work with a team to keep stores, career centers, and delivery centers in compliant, good condition.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or completion of a vocational training program in building maintenance.
• Two years of experience in facility maintenance.
• Understanding of basic electrical systems and ability to read blueprints.
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to comply with vaccine mandate per contract site.

Responsibilities

• Maintain stores, career centers, ADC, SSC and GNG/GING site appearance per policies.
• Ensure sites comply with codes and permits for repairs.
• Repair and maintain plumbing, electrical and structures per building codes.
• Maintain light fixtures and ballast.
• Update repair logs and tickets; document and close work.
• Conduct site safety inspections and estimate labor/repair costs.
• Maintain walls, doors, windows, paint and preparation.
