Job summary

Walmart stores require a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance, safety checks, and repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures. You will work under the local General Maintenance Manager following established schedules and guidelines.

The role involves inspecting, repairing, and maintaining facilities in a fast-paced retail environment, using plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and related skills while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Vocational or Technical certification with trade experience (3 years) or 5 years total in plumbing, electrical, or related trades.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and related craft skills.
• Use the work order system to receive and document repair work orders and support stores.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.

Education
