Job summary

Walmart seeks a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to sustain the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart facilities, equipment, and fixtures. You will follow established maintenance schedules under supervision, performing inspections, cleaning, and repairs while contributing to store operations.

Ideal candidates bring multi-trade experience (plumbing, electrical, MHE, carpentry) and a commitment to safety, teamwork, and customer service as part of a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Can lift up to 50 lbs.
• Can move up and down ladders frequently.
• Comfortable working at heights frequently.
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
• Able to work in various temperatures.
• Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using plumbing, electrical, carpentry, MHE, and food equipment skills.
• Use the work order system to receive reactive repair work orders and document activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training for safe operation of equipment and tools.
