Job summary

Walmart is hiring Developmental Technicians in General Facilities Maintenance. You will maintain and repair store facilities, equipment and fixtures, using plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and handling equipment with tools.

The role reports to the local Market Manager and follows set schedules to ensure safety and reliability. The position emphasizes physical work, occasional heights, and driving responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work at heights.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Able to read and speak English as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist or perform primary tasks under supervision of an experienced technician.
• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment and assets using various craft skills.
• Use the work order system to receive and document repair work orders.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities and equipment to diagnose issues.
• Complete required training to operate tools safely.
