Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician in Atlanta, GA to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs of facilities and equipment. You will handle plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks as needed, operate the company vehicle, and maintain secure, clean grounds and common areas.

You will also assist external vendors on complex repairs, monitor safety standards, and keep accurate logs of work orders and inventory.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two years of maintenance, repair, custodial work experience preferred.
• Valid State Driver’s License required.
• Must be able to lift heavy items and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs of buildings and equipment.
• Carry out plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks as needed.
• Operate Salvation Army vehicle to transport materials and respond to maintenance requests.
• Maintain grounds and custodial areas, ensuring safety and cleanliness.
• Assist external contractors during complex repairs and document work performed.
