Job summary

Life Care Centers of America in Kapolei, HI seeks a Maintenance Assistant to perform quality maintenance tasks in line with regulations and Life Care standards.

You will assist with preventive maintenance, inspect equipment/systems for proper function and safety, and help with errands and lifting heavy items. Maintain professionalism, protect confidential information, and support a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of one year maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems preferred.
• Knowledge of local building codes and ordinance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements.
• Inspect equipment/systems regularly for proper functioning and safety.
• Run errands, handle incoming and outgoing freight, and lift and move heavy furniture and equipment.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
• Assist in the evacuation of patients.
• Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance.
• Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment.
• Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.
• Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours.
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
