Job summary

Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC in San Pedro is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to keep our buildings safe and functional. You will perform trades such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical tasks, and general upkeep on-site, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, at least five years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training, and a valid California Driver’s License.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Must have a valid California Driver’s License.
• Read and write at a level necessary for job performance.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff and public.

Responsibilities

• Respond immediately to emergency maintenance requests in the building.
• Repair leaky faucets, toilets, dispensers and snake clogged plumbing when necessary.
• Wall cleaning, painting, plaster and drywall when necessary.
• Repair and replace doors and windows; perform basic electrical work when needed.
