Job summary

Brazosport College is seeking a Facility Services Technician (General Maintenance) to support daily operations in the Facility Services department at Brazosport Lake Jackson campus. The role requires performing routine maintenance, assisting with projects, and ensuring building systems operate efficiently.

The candidate will work on-site, participate in preventive maintenance, and be available for a weekly on-call rotation; a technical degree and a Class A license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in a related maintenance field.
• Three (3) years of general maintenance and repair experience.
• Valid Class A Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of woodworking and general carpentry.
• Proficiency in general maintenance and care of equipment.
• Ability to operate powered equipment.
• Ability to operate painting equipment.
• Ability to use general hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance and repairs on facilities, buildings, and equipment as assigned through work orders.
• Assists other maintenance personnel on special maintenance projects.
• Performs preventive maintenance and minor repairs to facilities.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature or level as assigned.
• Available for weekly on-call rotation (Monday-Sunday)
• 100% on-site presence.
