Job summary

SHP Management Corp. in Louisville, KY is seeking a Maintenance Technician to assist with facilities maintenance under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent or Building Superintendent.

The role covers buildings, grounds and equipment with a broad skill set in plumbing, HVAC, electrical and carpentry. Requirements include 3 years of property maintenance experience, a High School diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills, and the ability to work on-call and respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• 3 years of property maintenance experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and related trades or ability to learn.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders promptly.
• Prepare apartment turnovers within guidelines.
• Clean community facilities, grounds and common areas.
• Collect debris daily and maintain parking areas.
• Coordinate with Superintendent/Property Manager for inspections and follow-up on deficiencies.
• Be available for emergency duty (snow removal, fires, etc.).
• Complete incident reports within 24 hours of occurrence.
• Accept maintenance requests only from Superintendent/Property Manager.
