Job summary

San Juan County is seeking a full-time Building Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain the county’s Adult Detention buildings. Under general supervision, you will perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, welding, and concrete work, and keep equipment and grounds in good condition.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and two years of maintenance experience; a NM driver’s license; and willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of building maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and in loud conditions.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain buildings and equipment at county facilities.
• Perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, welding and concrete work.
• Inspect mechanical equipment and perform preventive maintenance.
• Operate and supervise as needed heavy equipment and vehicles.
• Work nights, weekends, holidays with overtime; rotating schedule.
