Job summary

County Of Umatilla seeks an attentive Building Maintenance Assistant to support daily operations across county facilities. You will help maintain and upkeep buildings and properties, and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed. The work week may include weekend days.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift 50+ lbs and work at heights. Prior maintenance experience preferred, with compliance to security checks and background

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma/GED and valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
• Ability to work at heights and operate general power equipment.
• Ability to operate and maintain general building equipment.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Prior general commercial property maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists department personnel in day-to-day Building Maintenance operations.
• Maintains and upkeeps County buildings and properties.
• Responds to after-hours emergencies as needed.
• Works weekends if required.
