Job summary

Gifthealth is hiring a Maintenance Technician to keep our healthcare facilities operating at peak performance. The role focuses on preventive maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems in a high-energy, patient-centered environment.

The ideal candidate is self-directed and safety-conscious, with 2+ years in maintenance or skilled trades. Must be able to work at heights, operate ladders and lifts, and support on-call emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; vocational training preferred.
• EPA 608 and HVAC/R certification preferred; OSHA 10/30 encouraged.
• 2+ years of maintenance, facilities, or skilled trades experience.
• Ability to operate ladders, scissor lifts, and work at heights; lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and mechanical equipment.
• Respond to facility work orders; diagnose and repair across trades (carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, electrical).
• Conduct safety inspections and address compliance concerns with licensed contractor involvement as needed.
• Coordinate with third-party contractors and vendors for specialized work.
• Maintain inventory of tools and maintenance supplies; document work orders and inspections.
• Be on-call for emergencies and after-hours maintenance as required.
• Identify opportunities to improve facility operations and energy efficiency.
