Job summary

Kroc Center is seeking a maintenance technician to repair and maintain the site’s buildings, grounds, systems, and equipment following preventative maintenance schedules and troubleshooting practices.

The role involves monitoring HVAC and safety systems, performing a wide range of repairs (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, floors, landscaping, and vehicle upkeep), and responding to emergencies to restore safety and operations.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) years or more of maintenance experience.
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team and individually.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and monitors HVAC units, alarms, fire suppression, lawn sprinkler, lighting and piping.
• Monitors heating system performance and pneumatics during transitional climates.
• Performs field maintenance tasks (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, flooring, carpet care, landscaping, and vehicle maintenance).
• Responds to building emergencies and coordinates restoration efforts to a safe state.
• Inspects completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications and standards.
• Maintains logs/records of work performed, materials used, and equipment used.
• Inspects and maintains power and hand tools for safe operation.
• Ensures compliance with City, State, Federal, and Salvation Army building codes and policies.
