Job summary

Education & Training Resources is seeking a Maintenance Helper to perform facility maintenance repairs and upkeep to ensure a safe environment.

The role involves skilled work in plumbing, heating, electrical, carpentry and related trades; repairing doors, windows, and equipment, and completing work orders to standards. A valid driver's license and 5 years of relevant experience are required. Candidate must read schematics and follow safety practices in a campus setting.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Five years of experience in electrical, heating, refrigeration, mechanical and carpentry.
• Experience in basic HVAC and building automation, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• ADA accommodations policy and disability rights may apply.

Responsibilities

• Performs necessary skilled work in plumbing, boiler, carpentry, and other trades.
• Repairs or replaces doors, windows, walls, flooring, roofing; builds storage bins and shelves.
• Completes work orders on time according to quality standards.
• Repairs heating, air-conditioning, and plumbing facilities not requiring certified technician.
• Repairs fluorescent fixtures, switches, wiring, and other electrical facilities not requiring certified technician.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety of equipment and facilities per standards.
