The role covers mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems with a focus on preventing downtime and ensuring safety and quality standards. The position offers a starting rate of $18 to $20 per hour with room for future advancement, as the incumbent gains experience and expands responsibilities.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED.
• Progressive technician training is preferred.
• Excellent reading, listening and problem solving skills; ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets equipment manuals to perform maintenance and service.
• Prevents plant breakdowns by performing planned preventive maintenance on conveying systems and rotating equipment.
• Communicates equipment issues/resolution to operators.
• Maintains log for daily equipment inspections to minimize downtime.
• Establishes work procedures to meet production schedules and advises if additional work is needed.
• Recommends measures to improve production and equipment performance.
• Cleans and inspects recycling equipment to ensure proper functionality.
