Job summary

UNFI is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for prompt repair and ongoing maintenance of facilities, equipment, and company vehicles. You will monitor, troubleshoot, log maintenance history, and uphold safety standards while coordinating with production teams.

You will perform regular inspections, develop preventative maintenance schedules, and ensure an adequate inventory of spare parts. Groundskeeping and parking areas are also included in duties.

Qualifications

• Two years of on-the-job experience with electronics and mechanical equipment.
• Understanding of safety guidelines and equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair epoxy floor as needed.
• Maintain racking, replace and move orange bars.
• Repair facilities including basic plumbing and electrical systems.
• Maintain grounds, parking lots, and driveways; clear snow.
• Recommend repairs or replacements for poorly functioning equipment.
• Prioritize repair schedule efficiently.
• Conduct regular facilities inspections.
• Assist in developing a preventative maintenance schedule.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and materials.
• Coordinate with production schedules and communicate needs.
• Keep management informed of activities and concerns.
