Job summary

Bay Aging is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform day-to-day maintenance and repairs of Bay Aging-owned properties in the Williamsburg area. You will respond to work orders, support outside vendors, and help keep buildings safe, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing for residents and staff.

This role requires practical maintenance experience, strong customer service, and the ability to read work orders and manuals.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training and experience enable accurate maintenance work.
• Demonstrates attention to detail and strong customer service skills.
• Ability to read work orders, manuals, emails, and invoices.
• Able to work independently and make decisions when necessary.
• Basic computer skills and maintenance work order software.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day maintenance to ensure safety, efficiency, and aesthetics.
• Complete work orders for corrective and preventive maintenance.
• Repair/replace electrical devices and fixtures (smoke detectors, thermostats, lighting, outlets).
• Inspect HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and drywall tasks.
• Snow/ice removal, light landscaping, and light cleaning as needed.
• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors.
• Report safety/health issues and support compliance with relevant codes.
