Job summary

Federal Realty Investment Trust in Florida is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support facilities at Cocowalk. You will perform maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical, heating/cooling, and other building systems, prioritizing work orders and documenting tasks.

The role requires the ability to work with minimal supervision, lift up to 50 lbs, and be on-call weekends/holidays. OSHA familiarity and solid knowledge of carpentry, waterproofing, and general maintenance are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of related work experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Solid understanding of building utility systems.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
• General knowledge of carpentry and repair.
• General knowledge of waterproof and roof repairs.
• General knowledge of plumbing tools and repairs.
• General knowledge of maintenance methods.
• Ability to take apart machines to replace defective parts.
• Experience working with common appliances, parts, and tools.
• Ability to prioritize workloads critical to operations.
• Able to work weekends and holidays and on-call 24 hours per day.
• Familiarity with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance for building systems (interior ceilings, floors, walls, windows, finishes and hardware, keys, panel alarm hardware, etc.), plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Assist with maintaining fountain equipment by performing a monthly cleaning.
• Finish assigned work orders on a timely manner.
• Inspect assets according to preventive maintenance schedules.
• Identify unforeseen leak/water intrusion issues that require immediate repairs.
• Perform basic repairs that do not require specialized technicians.
• Perform routine maintenance on building systems.
• Assist with the general upkeep of facilities.
• Regular, reliable, and consistent attendance.
• Additional duties as assigned.
