Job summary

NC State University’s Facilities Division is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician – Journey Level to perform skilled maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC, piping, insulation, plumbing, steam, and other building mechanical systems on campus.

You will work with domestic and chilled water, steam, gas, air, and waste systems, support HVAC controls and secondary electrical systems, and apply practical, hands-on problem solving to routine and complex maintenance

Join NC State University’s Building Maintenance and Operations ( BMO ) team as a Facilities Maintenance Technician – Journey Level and put your hands‑on mechanical skills to work supporting a safe, reliable, and comfortable campus environment. This position performs skilled maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC , piping, insulation, plumbing, steam, and other building mechanical systems.

You’ll work with a variety of systems, from domestic and chilled water to steam, gas, air, and waste systems, while also supporting HVAC controls and secondary electrical systems.
