A regional housing authority in Ohio is seeking a Service Person IV to oversee maintenance, repair, and construction of its facilities. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, vocational training preferred, and 2-3 years of relevant experience. Qualifications
Two to three years of progressively responsible experience in maintenance work.
Possession of Basic Housing Maintenance Certificate (BHMC).
Possession of a valid Ohio operator’s license and insurability under Agency guidelines.
Responsibilities
Perform basic and major maintenance, repair, construction, and alterations.
Diagnose mechanical and structural problems.
Perform preventative maintenance to CMHA facilities.
Maintain records of work orders and work performed.
Skills
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Ability to write clearly and legibly
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Ability to use power and hand tools
Ability to work in various weather conditions
Ability to perform light to heavy lifting
High proficiency in vocational skills
Ability to coordinate work with others
Ability to communicate effectively
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Vocational course work preferred
