Job summary

Dover Corporation in Austin, TX, is seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician IV to support manufacturing equipment reliability onsite. The role requires diagnosing complex issues, performing PMs, and coordinating with contractors to keep production up-time.

Qualifications

  • Seven years of experience in an industrial maintenance role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and diagnostic tools proficiency.
  • Understanding and troubleshooting control systems.
  • Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings.
  • Experience with 110–220 VAC single-phase and 208–480 VAC three-phase systems.
  • Clear communication with all levels and PC-based work orders.

Responsibilities

DFS provides advanced fuel‑dispensing equipment, clean‑energy solutions, and related services worldwide. The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician IV supports the performance and reliability of manufacturing equipment, coordinating with end‑users and leadership on maintenance, repair, and improvement initiatives.

Position Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues across systems and equipment to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Lead and mentor junior technicians and support the development of their technical skills.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) tasks for production equipment based on the CMMS schedule.
  • Prioritize tasks and follow established work instructions and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot PLCs, computer‑driven, and multi‑feature equipment.
  • Communicate with external contractors and vendors to resolve chronic equipment issues as needed.
  • Commission and decommission production equipment as needed.
  • Adhere closely to safety protocol and all EHS guidelines.
  • Install compressed air lines and their associated components.
  • Support the 6S methodology.
  • Assist in building maintenance as needed.
Mandatory Technical Tasks
  • Operate industrial equipment such as forklifts, tuggers, high‑reach boom and scissor lifts.
  • Able to stand and/or walk continuously for the duration of the shift.
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs. continuously.
  • Able to work at heights of 20 feet or higher.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least seven years of experience in a similar function in an industrial setting.
  • Extensive hands‑on experience maintaining various manufacturing machinery.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities and proficiency with diagnostic tools (multi‑meters, sensors, etc.).
  • Understanding and troubleshooting control systems.
  • Ability to interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings.
  • Working knowledge in 110–220 VAC single‑phase and 208–480 VAC three‑phase electrical systems.
  • Must communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of personnel.
  • Must use a PC to track work orders and communicate.

Work Arrangement: Onsite
