Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Tech Maintenance I for first shift to maintain and repair plant equipment, including conveyors, cranes, and safety systems. The role requires reading manuals and following codes, with a focus on reliable, safe operation.

The ideal candidate has basic hand tools experience, 1–2 years in industrial maintenance, and a willingness to learn Dematic EMS/WonderWare. This is a full-time, first-shift position on-site at our Martinsville facility.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; college degree or certifications in maintenance preferred.
Experience in Industrial Maintenance is preferred but not required.
Basic knowledge of hand tools is required.
Must be able to read, write, and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair assets using manuals, drawings, and codes.
Ensure safe, reliable operation of machinery and equipment; clear faults and jams.
Log data for required maintenance reports and audits.
Maintain conveyors, cranes, and the Automatic Sorter components.
Perform PMs and adapt to Dematic EMS/WonderWare systems.
