Job summary

State of North Carolina - OSHR Temporary Solutions seeks a Maintenance/Construction Technician II to support the Agricultural Sciences Center in Raleigh. The role focuses on building maintenance, carpentry, and equipment repair within a state-of-the-art facility housing regulatory labs.

The position offers a structured 7:00 am – 4:00 pm schedule, an approximate 40-hour work week, and a 11-month duration. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and one year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of the practices, tools, and materials used in general building maintenance, carpentry and/or the repair of equipment.
• A valid NC driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to effectively communicate and understand verbal and written instructions regarding work assignments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair facilities at the ASC laboratories and offices.
• Assist with groundskeeping and incinerator operation as needed.
• Support HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry tasks as assigned.
