Maryland State Department of Education, Division of Rehabilitation Services is seeking a Skilled Trades Specialist to maintain and repair facilities at the Headquarters, Workforce and Technology Center, and Automotive shop buildings in Baltimore, MD. This frontline role is emergency essential and requires hands-on maintenance and operations across multiple trades.

Responsibilities include tackling daily work orders, plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, HVAC, painting, and general facility

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three years experience performing skilled trade work (plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, locksmith, masonry, painting, or welding).

Responsabilidades

• Address daily work orders related to building maintenance, such as repairs or minor construction.
• Repair furniture, fixtures, trim work, cabinets and partitions.
• Repair or replacement of doors, locks and hardware.
• Install and repair plumbing fixtures (sinks, toilets, showers).
• Install light fixtures, switches and outlets; service portable A/C units.
• Operate and monitor central HVAC systems; conduct safety inspections.
