Job summary

The Milwaukee Rescue Mission is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician I to perform repair and general maintenance of facilities, grounds, and equipment at our two Milwaukee campuses. The primary location is North Campus, with work at both sites as needed.

You will handle plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and preventative maintenance while meeting safety standards. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 3 years of related experience preferred, and a valid driver's license is

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED equivalent.
3 years of building maintenance or related experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of building systems and appliances.
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs; use a dolly for bulky items.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Christian faith aligned with MRM statements and convictions.

Responsibilities

Perform repair or general maintenance work including minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, masonry, and painting.
Prioritize and respond to maintenance requests in a timely, professional manner.
Assist the Facilities Manager in proactively identifying and assessing common building-related issues.
Perform routine preventative maintenance and other tasks as directed.
