Job summary

The Milwaukee Rescue Mission is seeking an experienced full-time Maintenance Technician to serve at our two campuses in Milwaukee. This role performs repair and general maintenance of facilities, grounds, and equipment to provide a clean, orderly, and safe environment for staff, guests, students and visitors.

The primary location is the North Campus, with work at both locations as needed. Responsibilities include minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, masonry, painting, preventative maintenance,

Qualifications

• 3 years previous building maintenance or related experience strongly preferred
• High School diploma or GED equivalent required
• Strong working knowledge of common building systems, structures, and appliances
• Proven experience operating a variety of equipment, hand tools, and power tools
• Must be able to handle physical workload with lifting up to 80 lbs and frequent movement
• Valid drivers license with good driving record
• Reliability and punctuality expected in a church environment
• Commitment to the organizations faith statements and conduct

Responsibilities

• Perform repair or general maintenance work including minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, masonry, and painting
• Prioritize and respond to maintenance requests in a timely, professional manner
• Assist the Facilities Manager in proactively identifying and assessing common building-related issues
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and other tasks as directed
