Job summary

King County's Building Services Section within the Facilities Management Division is seeking to fill an immediate Utility Worker I vacancy and establish an eligibility list for future opportunities.

This entry-level role involves a variety of light maintenance and grounds tasks, and requires individuals who can work with hand tools and responsibly support facilities operations across multiple locations including downtown Seattle and Kent.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in light maintenance or facilities tasks.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and perform physical tasks safely.
• Ability to follow directions and work with a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned indoor/outdoor areas.
• Operate power tools when required and follow safety protocols.
• Record daily work logs and respond to work requests.
• Assist with minor maintenance and repairs to facilities and grounds.
