Job summary

King County’s Facilities Management Division is seeking a qualified plumber/maintenance professional to perform preventative, corrective, and emergency plumbing and mechanical maintenance across county facilities, including irrigation systems and water mains.

Candidates must have journey-level plumbing certification or equivalent experience; willing to travel to multiple locations in King County; able to work in safety-sensitive environments and communicate effectively with coworkers and

Qualifications

Possess a current Washington State PL01 Journey-Level Plumber Certification
Have journey-level steamfitter or pipefitter experience
Have at least five years of progressively responsible commercial or industrial plumbing service, maintenance, and repair experience
Equivalent combinations of relevant education, apprenticeship training, licensing, and experience may also be considered

Responsibilities

Perform preventative, corrective, and emergency plumbing and mechanical maintenance on irrigation systems, water mains, fixtures, and related equipment
Read and interpret blueprints and instructions; provide time and material estimates
Clean, maintain, and repair power and hand tools used in plumbing tasks
Work in teams and with other staff; provide excellent customer service to clients and coworkers
Utilize modern and legacy tools and equipment; use technology to track work orders and progress
