Performs a variety of skilled, technical, and maintenance work including plumbing and carpentry. This class works according to set procedures under minimal supervision. Position requires an advanced understanding and wide application of principles, theories, and concepts in assigned function or business area.
High school diploma or GED. Two (2) or more years' building maintenance related experience or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.
Must have a valid Florida driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record throughout employment.
Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements) or obtain within one year of employment.
Preferred Training or Certification:
In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.
Applicants who demonstrate they meet the minimum requirements may be subject to an extensive selection process and screening program, which may include, but not be limited to, evaluation of training and experience background investigation; medical evaluation; controlled substance screen.
Applicants are required to sign an affidavit for non-use of tobacco products in order to be considered for employment.
