Job summary

Ozarks Regional YMCA is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support safe, efficient operation of YMCA facilities. You will perform routine and reactive maintenance across building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing, under the VP of Facilities and Property.

Travel between branches may be required. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and a service-oriented approach, with CPR Pro and First Aid training provided within the first 30 days.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Prior facilities or maintenance experience required.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing or general facilities maintenance certifications preferred.
• CPR Pro and First Aid certification within first 30 days of employment.
• References demonstrating dependability and reliability.
• Effective communication and professional demeanor.
• Ability to align with YMCA four core values.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor to moderate maintenance and repair tasks (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, general systems).
• Implement and maintain preventative maintenance plans (filters, bulbs, belts, system checks).
• Follow maintenance checklists to meet safety and appearance standards.
• Support facility inspections and assist in achieving satisfactory results.
• Troubleshoot issues and report larger problems to VP of Facilities and Property.
• Respond to facility emergencies during scheduled shifts.
• Attend safety meetings and training sessions.
• Travel between branches as required.
• Perform other duties to support facility operations.
