Job summary

Fortis Native Group seeks a General Maintenance Worker for an onsite, union position in Fort Pierce, FL. You will perform and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical systems, and facility equipment, ensuring safety and reliable operation.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 5 years of maintenance experience, and a valid driver’s license. This role requires hands-on skills, adherence to EH&S policies, and flexibility for on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Five years of maintenance experience.
• Trade-specific courses preferred.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• Must pass drug screen and background checks.
• Able to work indoors/outdoors and in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive/corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, roll-up doors, fire protection, generators, pumps, blowers and motors.
• Maintain pumps, electrical controls and related equipment, and interior/exterior lighting.
• Process work orders and maintain records; prepare reports on daily work orders.
• Identify, schedule and coordinate work to support facilities and meet operating requirements.
• Follow EH&S policies and wear PPE.
• May work after normal hours for on-call assignments.
