Job summary

AEP Service Corporation is seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Technician B to maintain and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems at our facilities. The role requires on-call rotation, after-hours support, and travel as needed.

You will perform preventive maintenance, interpret blueprints, and coordinate with contractors while ensuring safety and code compliance. A valid driver's license and relevant licenses/certifications are preferred, with overtime and weekend shifts

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years as Building Maintenance Technician B or three years of equivalent experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing or carpentry.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
• Licenses: Electrician or HVAC license or CFC refrigerant certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive/predictive maintenance on HVAC equipment, emergency generators, and building systems.
• Conduct general building maintenance (drywall, masonry, painting, ceilings, roofing, tile, carpets, windows).
• Monitor and coordinate with contractors and other maintenance staff.
• Maintain records, inspections, and prepare reports; procure parts and materials economically.
