Job summary

TravelCenters of America is hiring a Facility Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain electrical, plumbing, HVAC, boiler systems, and environmental control systems across locations. The role emphasizes safety and keeping facilities in top condition for customers and travelers.

The ideal candidate has high school or GED, with general maintenance experience and the ability to operate tow motors and basic hand tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent
• General maintenance experience or responsibilities
• Ability to operate machinery and equipment including tow motors and basic hand tools

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical equipment, boiler systems and environmental controls in all departments
• Conduct installations, inspections, and routine maintenance
• Perform general repairs such as painting/caulking, roof and pavement repairs, lighting and landscaping
• Coordinate work with outside contractors to ensure scope and quality
• Maintain inventory of materials, equipment, and supplies
• Supervise porters and housekeeping staff for task completion
• Perform other duties as assigned
