Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems across locations. The role ensures a safe environment and supports customer service in a dynamic travel center setting.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED with vocational training in maintenance, plus preferred HVAC/Electrical/Plumbing certifications and the ability to operate tow motors and basic hand tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with vocational training in general maintenance and equipment repair.
• Ability to operate machinery and equipment including tow motors, equipment and basic hand tools.
• HVAC/Electrical/Plumbing certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on great customer service.
• Maintain electrical, plumbing, HVAC, boiler and environmental control systems across the location.
• Perform general repairs: painting, caulking, lighting, and facility maintenance.
• Coordinate the work of outside contractors to ensure scope of work is performed correctly.
• Maintain inventory of material, equipment and supplies.
• Coordinate and inspect work for completeness of porters and housekeeping staff.
• Perform other job related duties as assigned.
